Andrew Yang, a United States Presidential Candidate is facing criticism from Bitcoin (BTC) advocates after claiming that he was trying to give everybody money.

On the 16th of November, Andrew yang started a Twitter debate over his policy of paying all U.S citizens a form of universal basic income (UBI).

Yang tweeted out that he was trying to give everybody money, he reportedly plans to provide a united front on crypto regulations and he termed UBI the Freedom Dividend. His pitch was met with criticism from commentators.

The CSO of Blockstream Samson Mow replied Yang asking him to be specific on what he plans to give out, explaining that he would be giving out fiat, not money.
