Major crypto exchange Binance announced in an official blog post on May 30th that its charity arm BCF has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with safe future, an NGO (non – government organization) in Uganda which aims to improve local education.
The Binance for Children Special impact Education Project Uganda has reportedly set goals for local schools in Uganda, Binance intends to provide a number of new supplies to schools in Uganda, such as solar panels, sanitary pads, school supplies, LED screens, as well as breakfast and lunch for students.
Mula Anthony (CEO of Safe Future) stated that these developments will reach 100,000 students and 160 schools in the region. Mula Anthony stated in an official twitter post that the project has begun with the installation of lighting kits in two Kampala schools.
BCF previously launched a charity campaign “lunch for children” with the aim of providing breakfast and lunch to students in Kampala throughout 2019, the project expanded to include 10 schools in Kampala and Jinja. BCF intends to aid one million students in Africa in countries such as Ethiopia, Kenya and Rwanda.
