The Coronavirus includes the common cold, and viruses such as SARS and MERS. Since its discovery, a number of blockchain and cryptocurrency firms have made pledges to aid victims.

Binance cryptocurrency exchange reportedly made a pledge to donate 10 million Chinese yuan ($1.44 million) to the effort. According to a tweet made on the 25th of January by Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance. In the tweet he explained that the firm made a pledge to donate to the effort but made no formal announcement, he did this in response to being tagged to a news article about crypto donations being accepted for the cause.

According to a WeChat post on the 25th of January, Krypital (blockchain marketing service) has launched a charity donation to acquire medical supplies for coronavirus victims.

The firm also announced that it will be setting up a blockchain-based donation system that accepts Tether (USDT) and is also recruiting volunteers for media announcements, group administration, graphic designers, sorting, material purchase, and transportation management.
