CEO of Coin Ninjas Larry Harmon Arrested

Hey ninja’s, how’s the trading going? At press time the crypto market is trading sideways with the largest cryptocurrency trading at $10,245 and reporting 1.26% daily losses.

Coin Ninja CEO and founder of BropBit crypto wallet Larry Harmon has been arrested and is facing charges for money laundering. Harmon is being charged by the United States prosecutors for conspiring to launder funds and also for operating a money transmitting business without acquiring a FinCEN license.

His arrest warrant was filed earlier in February, in it, he is accused of allegedly laundering 354,468 BTC valued at $311 million at the time. He is also accused of allowing privacy tool Helix users and the users of Grams a darknet search engine to make transactions on AlphaBay.

Larry Harmon is facing up to 30 years in prison for his alleged crimes. Gary Harmon, brother to Larry Harmon, spoke with Peter McCormack a journalist and podcaster on his brother’s case explaining that Larry Harmon has been denied bail after being deemed a flight risk because of his family ties outside the United States.

He further explained that all of Coin Ninja’s assets have been frozen and the sum of $4,000 was deducted by the FBI from its Lightning Network Node.
