According to a press release on the 27th of June, Crypto payment firm Crypterium has shipped almost 4,000 crypto debit cards a week after it was launched.
Crypterium crypto debit cards were launched on the 12th of June, the card offers the global community access to major cryptocurrencies such its own CRPT token, bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), USD Coin (USDC) and Litecoin (LTC). Crypterium has successfully delivered 3,736 crypto debit cards to 70 countries a week after its launch.
According to the announcement, the majority of crypto debit card demands came from the United States, the post also notes that a significant amount of card demands came from the Asia – Pacific region. Australia ranked third by orders, and an exceptional amount of orders came from countries with weak local currencies and unstable economies.
The former General Manager of Visa Steven Parker, stated that the impressive numbers show the actual global demand for a “stable debit card” that would provide its users with equal status to crypto and traditional payments. The announcement also states that Crypterium crypto debit cards functions “the same way as a traditional prepaid card” users of Crypterium cards are able to perform online and in – store purchases using crypto, the services available to the users of crypterium card include Amazon, Netflix, tuition fees and medical bills, among others. Users are also able to cash out any time using “any of the 2 million” automatic teller machines (ATMs).
