Following an announcement in May, Taiwanese electronics giant HTC launched its new smartphone. The Exodus 1S was launched at the lightening conference in Berlin on the 19th of October.
The Exodus 1S is a lower-cost version of HTC’s Exodus 1, the new device costs €219 ($233) and is available for purchase using Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), Ether (ETH), Binance coin (BNB) and Bitcoin cash (BCH).
The Exodus 1S features buying, selling, sending, receiving, trading, lending and burrowing options but the biggest news about this new device is its ability to run a full Bitcoin node, making it the first smartphone to achieve this status.
The exodus 1S will be available for users in Europe, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, and UAE, but will not be available for users in Switzerland and Germany until a later date. Phil Chen (decentralized chief officer at HTC), said that launching the Exodus 1S has made it possible for anyone to run a full Bitcoin node and hereby making it easier to participate in the Bitcoin network.
