According to a Tweet by the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of Blockchain infrastructure firm Blockstream, miners making use of Bitmains S17 and T17 Antminer have reportedly stated that the rigs have a failure rate between 20-30% instead of its usual 5%.

According to the tweet sent out on the 26th of April by Samson Mow, the heat sinks on the Antminer S17 and T17 have been falling which causes the miners to short out, users have also reported issues with S17’s power supply fan.

Samson Mow also pointed out in his tweet that the current Chief Executive Officer (CEO)Jihan WU is reportedly blaming the recently dismissed co-founder of Bitmain Micree Ketuan Zhan for the failures and begs users to give its new miner the S19 a chance.
