United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission Re-employs Andrew L Ridenour

Hey Ninjas, how are your daily trades going? The top cryptos are once again in the red as most of the top 20 are reporting losses on the day and Bitcoin (BTC) is trading below the $10,000 margin. The recent lows experienced by the world’s largest crypto bitcoin, seemed to have caused crypto Twitter users to doubt the price predictions of BTC.

Chairman of the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Heath Tarbert, announced on the 17th of July that the CFTC will be hiring Andrew L. Ridenour as a senior counsel to the chairman.

Andrew Ridenour, a holder of a J.D and master’s degree from Tulane University, postgraduate degrees in both international relations and law, formerly worked for the CTFC, he spent 9 years working as a special counsel and senior trial attorney at the Division of Market oversight, before taking a break and going to work for Coinbase. Andrew Ridenour reportedly developed new business plans and “legal structure” for Coinbase’s trading and custodial services. He served as a counsel for institutional products for a year and a half before returning to CTFC. Now that he is back with the CFTC he will provide legal and policy counsel to the chairman.
