Hey ninjas, how’s the trading going? On the day, the crypto market is in the red zone with the majority of the top cryptocurrencies reporting daily losses. The largest cryptocurrency Bitcoin is down 1.53% on the day and is trading at $7,441. Top altcoins Ethereum and XRP are also reporting daily losses, Ether is down 1.29% and XRP is down 2.45% at press time.

Last year, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) accused Renwick Haddow of stealing over $37 million from Bitcoin investors and he was found guilty in June this year.

The SEC has filed to reopen his case as the regulator's claims for monetary reliefs have not been determined. On the 6th of December, the SEC submitted a letter to reopen the case against Renwick Haddow.

The letter was submitted judge Lorna G. Schofield, in the letter the SEC states that on the 10th of September 2019 the court gave a partial consent judgment and the case was later closed by Judge Schofield on the 5th of December, the SEC noted that this left the monetary penalties unsettled and the agency hopes to reach an agreement on the matter or reopen the case then move to seek monetary relief.
